Lane Transit District is very accessible!

Lane Transit District maintains a continuum of programs and services to help older adults and people with disabilities continue active and independent lives. This includes access to medical appointments, shopping, visiting friends, continued education, and working and volunteering within the community. Helping people access our community to accomplish their needs and goals is helping to create an enriched community!

Reasonable Modification

LTD is committed to providing services that are accessible and help maintain independence for all. People with disabilities may request a change or modification to a policy, practice, or procedure if it allows them to have equitable access to LTD programs, services and activities. While there is no guarantee, LTD will review requests and if they are reasonable they will be accommodated. To request a modification or to find out more, click here or call LTD Customer Service at 541-682-5555 (7-1-1- TTY for hearing assistance).

Riding the Bus

The most independent and convenient way to access the community using public transportation is to ride the bus. LTD operates 37 routes that serve our metropolitan and surrounding rural communities.

At LTD, every bus uses a low-floor design that can lower, or a ramp can be used to make boarding even easier. Ramps, lifts, and “kneeling” are available to anyone who uses a mobility device or has difficulty climbing steps. Just ask the operator for assistance.

We have a variety of programs to encourage people to be active using the bus. For a full list of services, click here.

RideSource

LTD operates specialized services for older adults, people with disabilities, and people who are eligible for transportation benefits through the Oregon Health Plan.

The RideSource ADA service is an origin-to-destination service within the Eugene/Springfield metropolitan area. This service is available to people traveling within the urban area who are unable to access the bus due to a disability.
