We Can Help You!
We can help school staff and parents boost participation. Here are a few ways we can help:

• Presentations – A few minutes at your parent and staff meetings will give a brief overview and ideas for participation.

• Publicity – We provide newsletter articles and flyers for distribution at local schools.

• Contests – We can provide materials for a fun, easy, and effective contest that will reward students, teachers, and parents who participate.

• Parking lot promotion – You can hand out SchoolPool flyers to parents who have driven their students to school. We provide flyers and SchoolPool registration forms.

• Your ideas? We can help put your ideas into action to customize activities for your school.

• Bike Safety Education – Your school can contract with the Bicycle Transportation Alliance (BTA) to provide a two-week bike safety education module to a class of your students. Several schools in the Eugene-Springfield area have enjoyed this excellent program, including Monroe and Cal Young Middle schools. Contact BTA at (503) 226-0676 or visit their Web site at www.bta4bikes.org.

• Incentives –Smart Ways to School has fun ideas and incentives to encourage students at participating schools to walk, bike, bus or carpool. Quantities may be limited. Contact Smart Ways to School at 682-6212 for more information.
