Vargas and Gandolfi to Speak at APTA National Conference

October 6, 2022

Caitlin Vargas, Lane Transit District’s (LTD) President of the Board of Directors, will be a featured panelist during the Tuesday, October 11, opening general session of the American Public Transportation Association’s TRANSform Conference, the organization’s premier event,  in Seattle October 9 through 12.

Vargas will be joined on the panel, entitled: The Value of Public Transportation: Modernizing our Storytelling, by the CEOs of transit agencies from Charlotte, New York City, and Washington, D.C. They will discuss rebuilding ridership and putting IIJA dollars to work, including measuring and communicating the value of transit service and investments in new and compelling ways to communities and decision-makers.

Camille Gandolfi, the Clerk of the LTD Board of Directors, will present on Saturday, October 8, during the event’s 2022 Transit Administrator Development Day. Gandolfi’s session is entitled: Planning for an Electronic Transition: Records and Information Management System. Her presentation will define records management, the value of having an electronic records management system, what an implementation plan looks like, and the potential risks of not having a records management system. The presentation will be informative, interactive, and an engaging discussion delving into the world of records management.

More than 2,000 transit personnel, policymakers, board members, government agencies, manufacturers, suppliers, and consultants from throughout North America will attend the TRANSform Conference.
