Lane Transit District (LTD) advises motorists that nighttime restrictions will affect travel next week at the intersection of West 6th Avenue and Chambers Street. On Monday night, October 5, the traffic signal will be shut down for approximately two hours, 7 p.m.-9 p.m., and flaggers will guide traffic through the intersection. During the night, motorists will have one northbound and one southbound lane open on Chambers Street and two lanes will be open for westbound travel on 6th Avenue. The restrictions will allow West Eugene EmX crews to complete electrical work for the intersection signals.

In addition, on Sunday night and on Tuesday through Thursday nights, two lanes will be restricted on 6th Avenue and one northbound lane will be closed on Chambers Street. This will provide space for EmX crews to pour concrete for the EmX/turn lane and pave asphalt on West 6th Avenue.

Access to all businesses and property will be maintained during the signal and road work. The public may sign up to receive West Eugene EmX project news, construction updates, and traffic advisories by visiting weemx.ltd.org or e-mailing weemx@ltd.org.
