Follow the Lane Transit District twitter account for the most up to date information on snow detours:
Listed below are routes that may be detoured during snowy/icy road conditions. Click on the route name to see a detailed map of the detour. If your route is not listed, your bus will run its normal route even in the snow and ice. However, service on all routes may be running much slower than usual. Regular routing and service is resumed once conditions improve. Up-to-the minute information will be available on Twitter and LTD's web site will be updated frequently with the latest service changes. In addition, local news media will be kept informed with updates.
Service in Hilly Areas - Snow Zones
When snowy/icy weather hits, LTD evaluates how far buses can safely travel in the hills and uses Snow Zones 1, 2, and 3 to designate the service area. LTD makes every attempt to serve as much of the detoured routes as possible and will return to regular routing as soon as weather permits. Zone changes may be made throughout the day as weather conditions change. Snow zone routing affects route 24 Donald and route 73 UO/Willamette.
Zone 1 service travels as far as Amazon Station. Zone 2 service travels as far as Amazon Station, where customers can transfer to a snow van/bus that continues on to 33rd Avenue. Zone 3 service travels as far as Amazon Station, where customers can transfer to a snow van/bus that continues on to 47th Avenue. Fox Hollow Road and Donald Street will not be served when route 24 and route 73 are on detour.
