Applying For RideSource Transportation Services

RideSource provides transportation services within the Eugene/Springfield area for individuals who are not able to ride the Lane Transit District (LTD) fixed-route bus system due to a disabling condition either all of the time or for specific trips or under certain conditions. This service meets the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for “complementary paratransit”.  (For more detailed information about the Americans with Disabilities Act transportation requirements go to  http://www.fta.dot.gov/civilrights/ada/civil_rights_3906.html)

In order to determine eligibility for Lane Transit District’s ADA transportation service, you are required to participate in an in-person interview.  This interview usually takes place in your home and always with a well-trained, professional Transportation Assessment Coordinator.  During the in-person interview, you will be asked questions about your ability to ride LTD buses.  The interview typically takes about one (1) hour. The Transportation Coordinator will explain how the service works, describe eligibility considerations, and answer your questions.

Please see the program brochure explaining more about RideSource transportation services. After reading through this information, you feel that you qualify for Ride Source’s Americans with Disabilities Act service, please call the RideSource Call Center at (541) 682-5566 Monday through Thursday between the hours of 10am and 4pm. Ask to schedule a transportation assessment interview.  You will be connected to one of our Customer Service Representatives who will ask a few additional questions and assist you in scheduling your interview.

If you are a first time caller and need transportation to and from a medical appointment within the next three weeks, please let our Representative know as they may be able to provide you with up to 30-days of temporary eligibility for medical trips while your eligibility status is under review.

After your eligibility interview, a determination will be made by the Transportation Assessment Coordinator on whether or not you are eligible for RideSource ADA transportation services either for all (full) or for some (conditional) of your trips.

You are always welcome to call the RideSource Call Center and request additional information or clarification of rider policies. We are here to help get you to where you need to go and look forward to assisting you with your transportation needs.
