LTD’s executive leadership includes the chief executive officer, and a team of leaders specializing in administration, operations, finance, development, and performance.

Collaborating to achieve LTD’s mission to connect our community, LTD’s executive leadership team is responsible for setting strategic priorities, managing resources, and building a strong and sustainable transit system that meets the needs of our community.

Jameson T. Auten is the CEO of Lane Transit District, serving the Eugene-Springfield, Oregon Metropolitan Area. He leads LTD’s 400 employees who connect our community aboard the District’s buses that serve 28 neighborhood routes and three bus rapid transit routes known as EmX.

Jameson is very active in the public transportation industry, including the American Association of Public Transportation and the National Academies of Sciences. He is a 2014 graduate of Leadership APTA. Jameson earned an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania (PennWest).

He and his wife, Mindy, live in Eugene.

 

Wendi leads the Administration team, which includes Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Materials Management, and Procurement.

She has been with LTD since 2020 and has over 16 years of experience in the private sector, with a primary focus on Procurement. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Management from Friend’s University and a Master’s degree in Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution from Baker University.

Wendi has a daughter and is a proud grandma to two grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing bass guitar, and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Mike oversees LTD’s Operations, Fleet, Materials Management, CSC/Accessible Services, and Public Safety departments.

Having spent the majority of his professional life in public service, Mike was most recently the Chief Executive Officer for Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) in Oakland, CA. He oversaw the launch of a bus rapid transit system and the opening of a major transit hub in San Francisco. Under Mike’s leadership, AC Transit was awarded the 2023 Outstanding Public Transportation System Award from the American Public Transportation Association. Mike also spent time at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (MUNI) and the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA).

Mike has a degree in Sociology from the American Military University, and is a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He has two adult sons and an “opinionated” Chihuahua, and enjoys hobbies like photography, cooking, gardening, and amateur radio.

Joe leads Lane Transit District’s planning and development department, including the operation and maintenance of all District facilities.

An LTD employee since 1999, Joe has led some of the region’s largest public capital projects that improve access, efficiency, and overall passenger service. His leadership in facility asset management ensures the District is a good steward of local, state, and federal infrastructure investments for the long term. Joe actively collaborates with public and private partners to ensure the District and its community members are at the forefront of regional transportation initiatives and discussions.

A graduate of the University of Oregon’s School of Planning, Public Policy and Management, he is originally from Portland. Joe lives with his family in Eugene.

Aimee oversees Lane Transit District’s Information Technology department and Business Intelligence Unit and guides District strategic business planning and execution. Aimee’s team works collaboratively across all LTD areas to support and enhance progress toward transformational outcomes.

Aimee completed undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont, a Master of Arts at Naropa University, Boulder, CO, and doctoral-level statistical training at the University of Washington, Seattle. Her background is focused in cognitive sciences with extensive advanced training and experience in continuous improvement, including certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University. She joins transit after 10+ years working in mental health leadership and brings a socially guided perspective of transit in the community

Aimee hales from New England but has made the PNW home for the last 15 years. She enjoys hiking the Ridgeline Trail, riding the bus, and hanging with her fun family and goofy animals.
