Get Ready! 1-Month Passes Are About to Get Even Better
We’re excited to announce a major improvement to monthly passes that many riders have requested! Starting January 20, our traditional one calendar month bus pass will transition to a more flexible 31-Day Pass.
What are the benefits of the 31-Day Pass?
- Maximizing value: you get a full 31 days of unlimited rides, no matter what day of the month you purchase your pass.
- Budget flexibility: purchase your bus pass any time in the month that works best for you.
- More control: the first tap activates the pass, not the date of purchase or first of the month.
What’s changing?
- Pass is valid for 31 days, instead of one calendar month. 3-Month Passes will also be replaced with a 92-Day Pass.
- Buy any time in the month, when it’s convenient for you.
- The first tap activates the pass, not the date of purchase or the first of the month, ensuring you receive a full 31 days of unlimited rides from the moment you activate your pass.
What’s not changing?
- Pass price is not changing.
- Must tap to board neighborhood and EmX buses.
- Day passes are not changing and are still valid for one calendar day.
- Fare capping will continue to use calendar months to keep track of how much fare you’ve paid. If you pay per ride with the Umo app or tap card, you’ll still get the same savings as the new 31-Day Pass.
What does this mean for people using the 1-Month Pass?
If you currently use a 1-Month bus pass, you can keep buying the monthly pass for December and January, then transition to the 31-Day Pass for the month of February. Calendar month passes will not be available for purchase after January 20. Get ready to experience a better, more flexible way to ride with LTD!
