With the launch of Lane Transit District’s (LTD’s) new mobile app partnership, traveling around Lane County just got smoother. LTD is partnering with Transit, a service that unites trip planning for multiple services – PeaceHealth Rides , LTD, Lane Council of Government’s Link Lane , and more – into one user friendly mobile app.
Whether heading to Florence for the day, commuting to work in Santa Clara, or biking to downtown Springfield, the app provides a seamless experience. “This partnership with Transit reflects LTD’s commitment to making mobility more accessible and integrated,” said Eric Breitenstein, LTD’s Director of Marketing. “By connecting multiple transportation modes in one app, we’re empowering riders to try new things and get further using public transportation.”
The app offers real-time alerts, detour notifications, and even interactive features like delivering feedback to LTD and gamification. This contract is made possible through a 2021 federal grant LTD received to support the development of new trip planning technology.
Transit is not a replacement for LTD’s current digital fare app, Umo , and riders should still continue to use it.
LTD also recently upgraded its website with a streamlined look, improved trip planning tools, and real-time information. Here are some of the most exciting features:
- Customer Service: a quick link at the top of every page
 - FAQs: database of searchable frequently asked questions
 - Plans & Projects: a complete overhaul of project pages for increased transparency
 - Popular Destinations: See key destinations accessible on each bus route.
