Rider Survey: Audible Stop Announcement Pilot
In February 2026, LTD began testing audible stop announcements for all stops on Routes 1, 11, 17, 18, and 36. These announcements say the street and cross street at each stop.
Our goal for the pilot was to:
- Improve accessibility for riders with visual impairments
- Support riders using mobility devices, including those secured in rear-facing positions
- Enhance overall awareness for all riders
