LTD Connect 2045 Community Advisory Committee

Apply to Serve as a Community Advisory Committee Member for Lane Transit District

Lane Transit District (LTD) is developing a Long-Range Mobility Plan to guide the agency for the next 20 years. The plan will be called LTD Connect 2045. LTD is forming a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) made up of community members to provide input and review plan materials throughout the planning process. Stipends will be provided to CAC participants.

Membership

The CAC will be comprised of approximately 16 community members — some who regularly ride the bus, and others who may not, but are impacted by LTD policies and decisions. LTD encourages business and nonprofit leaders, students, youth, those experiencing disabilities, older adults, and especially those who have not historically been involved in the District’s outreach and engagement efforts, including the unhoused, lower-income individuals, and minority individuals, to apply.

Eligibility

Any member of the public aged 16 or older in the Eugene-Springfield and surrounding rural areas can apply to serve on the CAC. This includes residents, employers, employees, and/or students of Lane County. Elected or appointed officials are not eligible to serve on the CAC.

Responsibilities

The CAC will have a substantial role in the development of the Long-Range Mobility Plan and will be responsible for working collaboratively toward achieving consensus around the Plan. The CAC will meet in-person four times, between May 2026 and September 2027. Meetings will be no more than two hours long. The CAC will meet at LTD’s Glenwood Administrative Office at 3500 E. 17th Ave.

Compensation

In exchange for their time and effort, and to decrease barriers to community participation, CAC members will receive a stipend of $50 per meeting attended, up to $200. Additionally, free transit passes during time served on the committee will be provided.

Accommodations

LTD is prepared to provide access to necessary resources, such as a computer, internet, and/or language translation, in order for individuals to participate in the CAC.
