Active

Date Created:
October 2024

Budget:
$500,000 ($300,000 in funding from the Transportation and Growth Management (TGM) Program and $200,000 in local operating funds.)

People wait at an outdoor bus stop under a shelter, with a white hybrid bus parked in the background on a sunny day.

Everyone deserves a safe, reliable, and convenient way to get where they need or want to go. Connect 2045 is a community-driven plan to make it easier for people across Lane County to do this. This 20-year vision will guide investments in public transportation to improve access to jobs, schools, healthcare, shopping, and recreation.

What will this project do?

Connect 2045 – LTD’s long-range planning effort – will help us and our partners identify ways to make getting around more reliable, sustainable, and accessible for people throughout our region.

By building on community input and existing planning efforts, Connect 2045 will identify transportation needs and opportunities, strengthen connections between communities, and create a shared vision for the future of mobility in Lane County.

Budget

The total project budget is $500,000. $300,000 in funding comes from the Transportation and Growth Management (TGM) Program and $200,000 in local operating funds.

Tell Us What You Think

Community input is at the heart of Connect 2045 and will help guide decisions about public transportation services, routes, and where future investments are made.

LTD wants to hear from you: what’s working well, what needs to be improved to get people to essential destinations (e.g., work, school, grocery stores, healthcare, and community spaces), and what connections would make trips easier, faster, and more direct? Public involvement will include public events, community outreach meetings, and conversations with local organizations.

Complete this survey to share what’s most important to you and share your vision for the future of how our community moves.
