Trip Scheduling Rules & Tips
Scheduling a Trip
Schedule your trip by calling 541-682-3238. Trips can be scheduled up to 10 days in advance, but they must be scheduled before 4:00 p.m. the day before the trip.
Return Trips
Return trips must be pre-scheduled. If a rider finds they are ready for a return trip earlier or later than planned, they may contact LTD by calling 541-682-3238 and request an adjustment. These requests will be accommodated when possible.
This service operates only during scheduled hours. If a return trip is not scheduled before 3:30 p.m., the return trip will be the responsibility of the rider.
Tips for Medical Appointments
When making a medical appointment, riders are encouraged to schedule that appointment as early in the day as possible to stay on time. If there is a possibility that an appointment may end later than scheduled, riders should call LTD to explore the possibility of an adjustment and have a backup plan to get home.
Cancellations and No Shows
We get it, things happen! If you are unable to make your scheduled ride for any reason, please call 541-682-3238 as soon as possible to (at least two hours in advance).
Missed rides that are not canceled at least two hours before the scheduled pick-up time will be recorded as no-shows. Riders who make more than one late cancellation may be subject to schedule restrictions, including temporary suspension of services.
A “no-show” is when:
- You fail to cancel a trip at least two hours before the scheduled pick-up time,
- You choose not to take the trip after the vehicle arrives,
- You fail to meet the bus at your designated pick-up location,
- You are not ready to go at your scheduled pick-up time and the driver has to leave without you to pick up the next ride on the schedule.
Trips that are missed for reasons beyond the customer’s control will not be considered no-shows. This includes missed trips resulting from sudden illness, family or personal emergency, extreme weather conditions, or LTD error.
