Service Launches March 2, 2026

The LTD Rural Shuttle Pilot will begin service on Monday, March 2, 2026, with reservations open beginning Wednesday, February 25. Days of operation vary by service area. Please see details below for more information.

Try LTD’s pre-scheduled Rural Shuttle to get to your next medical appointment, buy groceries, or make connections to other transportation services. This pilot service is expected to operate until June 30, 2027.

Here’s how to get started:

Find which days the Rural Shuttle comes to your area.

South Lane: Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Mohawk Valley: Tuesdays, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Highway 36 Between Deadwood & Mapleton: Thursdays, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Call to schedule a ride up to 10 days in advance

Call 541-682-3238 to schedule your ride during your area’s service days and times. Rides can be scheduled up to 10 days in advance, but must be scheduled by 4:00 p.m. the day before the trip.

Each Rural Shuttle bus will pick you up at your requested location within the service area and drop you off at select destinations to connect to additional transportation options.

Get from outside Cottage Grove or Creswell city limits to the Cottage Grove Walmart and Creswell Park & Ride at 1st & C Street.

Get from outside Cottage Grove or Creswell city limits to the following destinations:

  • Cottage Grove Walmart (LTD Route 98 around Cottage Grove or to Eugene/Springfield and LTD Connector around Cottage Grove)
  • Creswell Park & Ride at C & 1st Street (LTD Route 98 to Cottage Grove or Eugene/Springfield)

Transportation Connections

LTD Route 98: travel around Cottage Grove, to Creswell, or connect to LTD routes at Eugene Station. Rural Shuttle fare includes an LTD Day Pass to board Route 98 and other LTD routes.

LTD Connector: we’ll pick you up and drop you off at any location within Cottage Grove city limits. Additional fare applies.

Transportation Connections

Link Lane: continue your trip on Link Lane from the stop in Mapleton or Florence. Link Lane travels between Eugene and Florence, and between Florence and Yachats. Additional fare applies.

Get from Mohawk Valley to Pioneer Plaza, Springfield WinCo, Walmart on Olympic, McKenzie Willamette Medical Center, and Riverview Center for Growth. You may also use the Rural Shuttle Pilot to travel to destinations inside the Mohawk Valley Rural Shuttle pilot area.

LTD Route 17 & 18 and EmX: continue your trip around Springfield, or transfer to other LTD routes at Springfield Station. Rural Shuttle fare includes an LTD Day Pass to board other LTD routes.

Trip Scheduling Rules & Tips

Scheduling a Trip

Schedule your trip by calling 541-682-3238. Trips can be scheduled up to 10 days in advance, but they must be scheduled before 4:00 p.m. the day before the trip.

Return Trips

Return trips must be pre-scheduled. If a rider finds they are ready for a return trip earlier or later than planned, they may contact LTD by calling 541-682-3238 and request an adjustment. These requests will be accommodated when possible.

This service operates only during scheduled hours. If a return trip is not scheduled before 3:30 p.m., the return trip will be the responsibility of the rider.

Tips for Medical Appointments

When making a medical appointment, riders are encouraged to schedule that appointment as early in the day as possible to stay on time. If there is a possibility that an appointment may end later than scheduled, riders should call LTD to explore the possibility of an adjustment and have a backup plan to get home.

Cancellations and No Shows

We get it, things happen! If you are unable to make your scheduled ride for any reason, please call 541-682-3238 as soon as possible to (at least two hours in advance).

Missed rides that are not canceled at least two hours before the scheduled pick-up time will be recorded as no-shows. Riders who make more than one late cancellation may be subject to schedule restrictions, including temporary suspension of services.

A “no-show” is when:

Trips that are missed for reasons beyond the customer’s control will not be considered no-shows. This includes missed trips resulting from sudden illness, family or personal emergency, extreme weather conditions, or LTD error.
