Beginning May 1, there’s a new way to pay for your ride on the LTD Connector, Rural Shuttle, Diamond Express , and Rhody Express. Riders can now pay fare using the Umo Mobility app or a reloadable tap card.

One account for all LTD services. Use the same app or tap card to pay for rides on all LTD services, including neighborhood buses, EmX, RideSource, LTD Connector, LTD Rural Shuttle, Diamond Express, and Rhody Express.
Manage your money your way. Add money to your Umo account anytime with a credit or debit card. There’s no need to visit a bank or find an ATM to get cash for the bus.

How to Get Started with Umo
If you’re new to Umo, follow our quick-start guide and get answers to frequently asked questions about Umo on our Fares & Passes page.
- Choose if you want to use a Umo tap card OR the smartphone app. You cannot use both the Umo tap card and the Umo App.
- Buy a reloadable tap card or download the free Umo Mobility app.
- Create an account and select Lane Transit District as your location.
- Add money to your account or buy a pass. These will be stored in your digital wallet until you use them.
Important Details
Additional Fare Still Required: Additional fare is still required on the LTD Connector, Rural Shuttles, Diamond Express, and Rhody Express. No other LTD Fares (such as an LTD Day Pass, 31-Day Pass, 92-Day Pass, Student Transit Pass, or Honored Rider Pass) or discounts apply on these routes.
Fare Capping: Fare paid for the LTD Connector, Rural Shuttles, Diamond Express, and Rhody Express does not count toward daily or monthly fare capping.
Paying Cash: Cash is still accepted. Exact change is required.
