Two area executives with long histories of commitment to their communities have been appointed by Oregon Governor Kate Brown to the Lane Transit District Board of Directors.

Susan Soonkeum Cox has been appointed to represent LTD sub-district 7 (Southwest Eugene, Veneta, and Fern Ridge areas). As Vice President of Policy and External Affairs for Holt International Children’s Services, Cox is respected locally, nationally and internationally as an adoption and child welfare advocate. She has a long history of serving her community, including leadership positions with the Springfield School District Board, Springfield Public Library Foundation, Springfield Rotary Club, Springfield Education Foundation, and the Wildish Theatre.

“We are pleased to welcome Susan and Michelle to the LTD Board of Directors,” said Caitlin Vargas, LTD’s President of the Board of Directors who represents subdistrict 6 (West Eugene/HWY 99, River Road, and Junction City areas). “Both bring to the Board a deep knowledge of our communities and a commitment to serving their subdistrict and the District.”
