Full RideSource Service Restored Aug. 30

In a little more than a week of operating modified RideSource services due to COVID-19’s impact on its workforce, Lane Transit District (LTD) has announced it will reinstate full service for passengers using RideSource on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021.
“LTD’s RideSource providers rallied to prioritize our RideSource trips to safely return to service and meet the full needs of the community,” said Cosette Rees, LTD’s Director of Customer and Specialized Services. “Our expectations in terms of timing to return to full service have been exceeded. We also recognize the impacts that reducing RideSource service has had on our community. What we know is that the impacts of COVID-19 persist, and we will remain prepared to keep bus operators, contract drivers, and passengers safe.”
Rees said that LTD and RideSource will review the situation and response to determine if there are ways to avoid or mitigate a temporary service interruption in the future due to a pandemic or other unforeseen events.
