LTD Increases Service Starting September 7
Lane Transit District (LTD) will increase its Monday through Friday bus service, by over 4%, effective Sunday, September 7. This new weekday schedule runs until February 2025.
“Many routes are being modified so passengers will need to double check their bus schedule to make sure they know when their bus will arrive,” said Anni Katz, LTD’s Public Information Officer.
LTD's System Review Final Report, adopted by its Board of Directors last year, contains short- and long-term recommended service. The System Review included a detailed analysis of demographic factors impacting transit demand, access to employment, and school attendance along with a robust community engagement process.
“The System Review reflects the voices of our community and the data-driven insights needed to improve mobility and equity across our service area,” said Dave Roth, LTD’s Director of Mobility Planning and Policy “It gives LTD a thoughtful, actionable plan for incremental improvements to our transit network over the next three years.”
Minor adjustments were made to most LTD routes. Weekday EmX will continue to run every 10 minutes for the majority of the day. Routes 36 and 41 have new routing that will allow them to serve an expanded area. Route 1 is now the “Downtown Loop,” serving a larger area and with more frequent service.
