LTD Receives $250,000 TGM Planning Grant

October 4, 2023

Lane Transit District (LTD) was awarded a $250,000 grant from the Oregon Transportation and Growth Management Program (TGM) to create a Long-Range Mobility Plan to update its Long-Range Transit Plan.

“The Long-Range Mobility Plan is LTD’s foundational guide that outlines the goals and policies to initiate future service that connects our communities as well as provides for accountability to the community,” said Tom Schwetz, the District’s Director of Mobility Planning and Policy. “Community growth, changes in land use regulations, and LTD’s focus on mobility management will be incorporated into the updated plan.”

The TGM program is a partnership between the Oregon Department of Transportation and the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development to help local jurisdictions plan for streets and land that lead to more livable, sustainable, and economically vital communities. This planning increases opportunities for transit, walking and bicycling. TGM has funded more than 800 grant projects.
