LTD Receives Award For Financial Reporting

Lane Transit District (LTD) has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, the most prestigious award given to government agencies from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). It is the 26th time the District has received this recognition from GFOA.

“GFOA recognition for financial reporting gives our funders and taxpayers confidence that LTD is responsible and transparent about how their tax dollars are being spent to enhance our community,” said Jameson T. Auten, LTD’s General Manager and Chief Executive Officer. “I am proud of the Finance Team and the good work all LTD employees do to connect our passengers to the community.”

The Certificate of Achievement recognizes LTD’s financial reporting for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2021. According to the GFOA, the District’s accounting and financial reporting were judged by an impartial panel to ensure LTD met the association’s high standards, including demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the reports.

“This award reflects our team’s high professional standards for financial reporting,” said Christina Shew, LTD’s Director of Finance. “We are grateful to our dedicated staff for their commitment to accountability and transparency reflected by the receipt of this award. The Certificate of Achievement motivates our team to keep working to reach the highest standards for financial reporting.”
