Lane Transit District (LTD) will reduce service on 11 fixed bus routes and will make service adjustments on the weekday EmX bus service, including adding afternoon trips between Eugene Station and Springfield Station. The service changes go into effect on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

“We understand when bus service is reduced or adjusted, the change impacts our passengers’ travel plans,” said Pat Walsh, LTD’s Chief Marketing Officer. “These service changes are necessary due to changing ridership demands and a consistent need to increase operational efficiency, financially and from a human resources perspective.”

Walsh says that LTD passenger boardings are at 70% of pre-pandemic levels and with many open job positions at LTD, service levels cannot stay the same.

“LTD is actively recruiting for new bus operators and to fill other positions,” Walsh said. “Until positions are filled, LTD can only provide the level of service it is staffed to deliver.”

The following service change is to take effect on Sunday, February 5, 2023. Refer to the Rider’s Guide for noted timepoint adjustments at LTD.org.

Route 11 –Thurston – Weekday

All timepoints where changed

Route 17 – 5^th/Hayden Bridge – Weekday

The addition of a 7:21 a.m. and 8:25 a.m. trip have been added to help students get to school.

Route 18 – Mohawk – Weekday

Timepoints were adjusted on the 10:34 a.m. trip.

Route 24 – Donald – Weekday

12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. trips were removed.

Route 28 – Hilyard – Weekday

9:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. trips were removed.

Route 40 – W. Echo Hollow – Weekday

9:50 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. trips were removed.

Route 41 – Barger/Commerce – Weekday

5:15 p.m. trip was removed.

Route 55 – North Park – Weekday

5:15 p.m. trip was removed.

Route 67 – Coburg/VRC – Weekday
 

Timepoints on the trips from 6:30 a.m. through 10:00 a.m. were adjusted

Route 82 – LCC/Pearl – Weekday
 

The following trips were removed: 7:00 a.m., 12:05 p.m., 3:15 p.m., 4:05 p.m., 4:20 p.m., 5:05 p.m., and 5:50 p.m.

Route 93 – Veneta – Weekday

The 6:45 a.m. trip will now start at 6:46 a.m.

EmX – Weekday

Beginning around 9:00 a.m. weekday trips will be every 15 minutes until 9:00 p.m. where it will be every 30 minutes. From 1:44 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. extra trips have been added from Eugene Station to Springfield Station. From 2:43 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. extra trips have been added from Springfield Station to Eugene Station.

No Service until Further Notice on Routes 27, 73, and 78.
