LTD Suspends Service for Wednesday, January 17
Lane Transit District and RideSource have suspended service tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17. RideSource will provide rides for customers with medical appointments for life-sustaining services. Diamond Express and South Lane services have been canceled for Wednesday.
Following a tour of facilities earlier today, LTD leadership has determined that conditions are unsafe for employees and the public. Due to ice buildup and tree debris at many LTD stations, platforms, stops, and in bus lanes, LTD staff need a significant headstart to ensure the system is safe for everyone.
LTD staff continues to monitor conditions and will make a final decision on Wednesday concerning bus service for Thursday, January 18.
