Two Point2point/Lane Transit District (LTD) staff members were recently recognized for their outstanding achievements in their work managing transportation options for the Point2point program. Tracy Ellis, the Rideshare Specialist with Point2point, was awarded the Transportation Options Group of Oregon Professional of the Year Award at the recent Oregon Transportation Conference, held in October.

This award recognizes people in the field who demonstrate excellence in the promotion and participation of transportation options programs. Ellis was honored for her leadership for her efforts on key statewide projects such as the Transportation Options Performance Measure Task Force, the Rideshare database subcommittee and the Valley Vanpool program. Ellis has been working in the field of transportation options locally and statewide since joining LTD in 2006.

Cody Franz, Transportation Options Specialist, was selected by the Association of Commuter Transportation (ACT) as one of the 40 Under 40 Awards winners. Franz was recognized for his work in developing programs that shift behavior and create long-lasting change in the community and within local organizations. Franz who received the award in November, was honored for his role in leading the Business Commute Challenge for LTD and the SmartTrips program. Additionally, he served on the board of directors for the statewide Transportation Options Group of Oregon and in a number of other key committees.

“We’re really proud of both Tracy and Cody,” said Theresa Brand, Manager of Point2point for LTD. “Both of them are dedicated and committed and they exemplify the very best in what we do here at Point2point.”
