Veterans Ride LTD for Free on Veterans Day
November 3, 2021
Veterans of the United States Armed Forces can ride for free on Lane Transit District buses on Veterans Day, Thurs., Nov. 11, 2021.
Veterans just need to tell the bus operator that they served in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, or Coast Guard, and their ride is free for the day.
“It is important to honor members of our communities and LTD employees who serve or have served our nation as members of the armed forces,” said Mark Johnson, LTD’s Interim General Manager. “LTD is pleased to provide free bus service to Veterans on Veterans Day to thank them for their dedication and sacrifice.”
Johnson said it is important for Veterans who receive 50% or higher disability benefit to know they are also eligible for half-price bus fares aboard LTD buses. More information about fares is available online.
LTD will operate regular bus service on Veterans Day and the Customer Service Center will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Full bus schedules are available online.
