LTD Prepares for Daylight Saving Time and Service Adjustment
Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday, March 10. Most of the United States will return to DST at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, when clocks will be turned ahead one hour, providing an additional hour of daylight in the evening.
Lane Transit District’s buses will operate on a normal Sunday schedule, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. Visit LTD’s Service Alerts page for the most updated route details, especially with service adjustments scheduled to take place on Monday, March 11. Under law, DST is observed from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. The U.S. Department of Transportation has overseen the time laws since 1966, when Congress transferred this responsibility from the Interstate Commerce Commission.
