LTD Detours Due to Eugene Marathon Activities

On Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7, some of the Lane Transit District (LTD) regular bus routes will be on detour in order to accommodate the Eugene Marathon and the Run Tracktown 5K.LTD will implement a variety of detours and service interruptions, listed below. Riders using these routes should plan ahead for possible delays. These detours/delays will also affect those traveling into and out of Springfield. The following bus and EmX stops will experience delays or closures:

Saturday, May 6:

Route 28 – Eugene 5K Service Disruption (May 6)
Due to the Run Tracktown 5K on May 6, outbound Route 28 will use the temporary stop at Bay B at the UO North Station for the 7:36 a.m. and 8:36 a.m. departures. During these two trips, the bus will not serve the bus stop on Alder Street north of 17th Avenue and the bus stop on 18th Avenue east of Hilyard Street. Regular departure location and time will resume at 9:36 a.m.

Sunday, May 7:

Eugene Station to Springfield Station
EmX service will be available between Eugene and Springfield Stations with the following stations closed from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: 10th/High, 11th/High, Hilyard, Dads’ Gate, Agate, Walnut, and inbound Glenwood. Regular service is expected to resume after 11:30 a.m. but plan ahead for possible delays until 3:00 p.m.

Springfield Station to Gateway Station
EmX service will be available between Springfield and Gateway Stations with the following stations closed from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: E Street, F Street, and Centennial. During this time, EmX buses will use temporary stops for: Q Street and inbound Hayden Bridge. Regular service is expected to resume after 11:30 a.m. but plan ahead for possible delays until 3:00 p.m.

Route 13 – Eugene Marathon Service Disruption
Due to the Eugene Marathon on May 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., outbound Route 13will not be able to serve any of the bus stops on the south side of Martin Luther King Jr. and Centennial Blvds from Leo Harris Parkway (east side of Autzen Stadium) to Mohawk Blvd. Riders can access this closed section of MLK and Centennial by continuing to ride the bus on its return trip to Eugene Station and using the bus stops on the north side of the street.

Route 17 – Eugene Marathon Service Disruption
Due to the Eugene Marathon on May 7, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Route 17 will not be able to serve the bus stops on 5th Street between B and Q Streets.

Route 18 – Eugene Marathon Service Disruption
Due to the Eugene Marathon on May 7, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Route 18 will not be able to serve the bus stops on 5th Street between B & G Streets, nor the bus stops on G Street between 5th and 12th Streets.

Route 28 – Eugene Marathon Service Disruption (May 7)
Due to the Eugene Marathon on May 7, the Route 28 bus departing Eugene Station at 8:30 a.m. will not serve the bus stops on the following streets: Patterson (from 19th Avenue to 24th Avenue), 24th Avenue, Hilyard Street (from 36th Place to 18th Avenue), West Amazon Drive, Martin Street, Center Way, and East Amazon Drive. Regular service will resume with the next bus.

Route 98 – Eugene Marathon Service Disruption
Due to the Eugene Marathon on May 7, the outbound and inbound Route 98 bus departing Eugene Station at 8:35 a.m. will not serve the bus stops on Franklin Blvd and 11th Avenue.
