A Message to Our Community
Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in spring of 2020, LTD faced difficult decisions to ensure our ability to continue offering high-quality, equitable transportation services in a financially sustainable way. Over the past year, LTD has engaged in conversations with our local, regional, and state partners about how to deliver the range of transportation options programs that best meet the needs of our community. These conversations have created an opportunity to take a step back with programs that have been successfully established and nurtured, and identify how we can best build upon that success to position them for continued growth. What we know is that this work is big, and it takes a village.
Moving forward, LTD will continue to provide transportation options services for employers
and employees in our area, such as the Emergency Ride Home
program, Group Pass
program, Valley Vanpool
program, tabling at employer fairs, assistance with using the Get There
platform for commuting, and more.
Management of regional transportation options programming, such as Safe Routes to School, bicycle and pedestrian safety outreach, and regional transportation challenges will shift to other agencies, and the Point2point brand retired. The Point2point brand has served these programs well, but we are looking forward to seeing them evolve and grow under new leadership.
Over the course of the next several months, this website will change as LTD renews its focus on providing employer and employee transportation options programs. For information about general regional transportation options programs, please visit LCOG by clicking here.
While we are sad to bid farewell to Point2point, we are excited to continue providing information, encouragement, and support to help our community choose healthy, sustainable commutes.
